James Yuill

This time is turn for James Yuill, an interesting artist which brings folk/pop and electronic music together with a fresh proposal, he had his debut album "Turning Down Water for Air" out on Moshi Moshi Records on 2008 which has received nothing but good critics. This year he got lucky to be picked and edited by Balearic master Prins Thomas."This Sweet Love" was the chosen one and I have listened to it several time but the truth is that while I was stucked in the traffic jam and it just pop up in my stereo I just realize the greatness of it, that's why I want you to listen to it and be embraced by it as I was this very morning.

You can find it on the Kitsune Maison Compilation #7 or mixed in the Live at Robert Johnson Vol. 2 by Prins Thomas. Go out there and buy the records! hope that you enjoy this as much as theneonrider does.

Icasol

Last week was kind of busy for me, I was feeling all stressed out and I was looking for something to calm me down, make me feel comfortable and looking through my music I found the perfect formula for what I needed, a track that has been for a while in theneonrider music library but that I haven't heard in months. This track released November last year on the high quality label Claremont 56 is called "Ongou" by Icasol and it's remixed by one of the finest acts out there, Idjut Boys.

I don't want to bore you with too much information, I just want to let you know that this track is pure beauty, a work of art for you to close your eyes, relax and then fly off to your favorite destination.

DISTRICT 9

One of my first posts for The Neon Rider, was about one of my favorite directors out there, Neil Blomkamp. The trailer of his new feature film "District 9" produced by Peter Jackson is out, and it looks amazing, it just leaves you wanting more. If your familiar with his work, you'll notice that the storyline is pretty similar of Alive in Joberg.

I hope you enjoy it and if you want to go back in time and check my Neil's post go here.

Work it out with Little Boots

Our friends from Heads We Dance, just sent us their latest b-side work of their latest single featuring the one and only lady of the moment, Little Boots. The Single "When The Sirens Sound" comes out on May 18th, and as you know of what we've posted before this band is getting bigger and bigger every minute, literally. This rock/pop song with its' dancey drums and synth lines will probably make you dance and headbang singing along with the guys and the characteristic voice of Little Boots.

As always you'll be the judge, so get the song give them some love on their new website and myspace, and get their album when it comes out
