Danger

The Horse Meat Disco compilation was released a couple of weeks ago and you can find it on vynil, cd or even online. I've already got my vynil copy and also bought it online, but the only differences are like two or three songs in the tracklist. Anyway the compilation is great for disco lovers, a lot of dance floor classics are there as well as some more rare tracks.

For this week I've selected Gregg Diamond's "Danger" which was out in 1979 on TK Records with "Stand Up and Dance"as the b side. This tracks is straight up disco with a great bass line and vocals that will make you want to dance. Remember to buy this compilation before it gets sold out it's totally worth it.

This New Technology

One of the Best Australian acts from 07-08 was definetely The Midnight Juggernauts, and now they are back with a digital release of their single of This New Technology. They are releasing a limited edition 7" on Acéphale Records (SALEM, Air France, Memory Tapes), available for pre-order now.

This track is just what would you expect from them cosmic synths to the easy vocals in the chorus and definetely the drums. Let's wait for the release of the new album and see how much they evolved, but for now enjoy the track.

The Melbourne trio will be making a brief trip to the US this October, showcasing new material from their forthcoming album (due early 2010). We'll keep you posted.

Untitled Love

I know that the Neon crew has been away for a while, summer, in my case moving from Mexico City to NYC, and I know that there are a lot of reasons that we can list but they won't make up for lost time, so now we are going to give you the quality and the quantity that you deserve. Changing the subject into a less dramatic one, DFA's Still Going is back and after giving us great dance floor moments with "Still Going Theme" two years ago, their new 12" just got out a couple of weeks ago and it's amazing. It has two tracks "Untitled Love" which is the one that you're going to enjoy today and it has an instrumental version as well, the other side contains Spaguetti Circus which is nothing but a dance floor monster.

We totally recommend you to get the 12" at your favorite record store or buy it online on emusic, juno or your most preferred online site. Remember to always support the artist, here we give you just a glimpse of what the albums are but you should spent some dollars to get the whole picture.

Here is "Untitled Love" and as a bonus i'm giving you the Instrumental Version.
