NEON GEMS

This time we are back with some songs that I would consider as good as gold. We are talking about old songs from Kenny Dope, Morgan Geist and International Pony. Guys that have been making music for many years and are considered heavy weights in the industry.

Obviously these three artists have different sounds and their albums also mix different music styles, but that's the reason why is always good to give a try to old stuff or albums that are not your usual pick or genre. What can I say, these songs are nothing but neon gems and we wanted to share them with you. feel free to comment and give us feedback!

Let's start the week with something beautiful.

XXX

Last week, I saw a commercial that entertain me like no other before for a while. Directed for the upcoming Diesel XXX party by Keith Schofield and animated by Big Animal, this spot is great, very creative out of the box and a very good way to promote something. This kind of videos are the ones that start bouncing from computer to computer all over the world very fast, and I'm sure it was on purpose. Take a look at it and I'm sure you're going to have a favorite part (one of mine is hitting the drum, pure gold).

As a double treat im going to leave you with a great track by Gerard "PJ" Browne straight from the disc o' lypso album released before disco hit it big time on the mainstream, and it fits the video perfectly, enjoy.

LGI

What can I say?, destiny just got my way because I was looking for something really really good for my post, something fresh and this couple made my day, they are Katie Pawluk and Lance Lemon from Providence, RI/NY and together they go by the name of Let's Get Invisible. With just one year since its creation, this project feels just right, the great female vocals mixed with a great beat and I just don't know how to explain the genre yet but actually that doesn't matter at all, what matters is that I can't keep 'em off my headphones just as you won't soon.

When they started a year ago they didn't have much idea of what they were doing, but influences always come together and here's what they told us: "the sounds, films and energy of our youth in the 80's made us fall in love with thick bass lines, cheap synths and jem and the hollograms". How about that, you´ll be the judge of this upcoming neon talents and record labels be aware because these kids are on fire and they aren't signed yet, TheNeonRider suggest you take a look on fresh acts like this.

They are currently working on some new tracks as well as on a mixtape that is going to be released on october and as they told us this one is just for having fun and you know good things happen when you are doing something just for the passion of it, don't miss it!. They are also doing some collaborations with Futurecop! and some other big acts, but that's a surprise so stay tuned and give these kids some myspace love.

I'm leaving you two killer tracks, "Viewers Like You" and "Jump Back" which is my personal favorite, these two are a high recommendation by theneonrider crew, download them and go nuts!

Seelenluft music

"Birds and plants and rocks and things" is the name of the latest Seelenluft album" Yesterday was the first time we listened to this album and as always it is our pleasure to share some songs with you.

Beat Soler is the mastermind behind this project, he has already three albums as Seelenluft and has been making music for more than fifteen years. As always we encourage you to listen and buy the rest of the album which has a variety of relaxing electro pop sounds.

We are going to leave you a cover song that reminds us of those radio stations only playing classics.

You're going to love it or hate it, we just loved it.

Stickydisc Recordings

Long time no see but I'm back with some hot tracks, this time it's turn for Brooklyn's own Sticky Disc Recordings and with the hands of Morgan Wiley and Eric Broucek in both writing and producing, the two acts that this label offers are killer.

First it's Babytalk, maybe you've heard "Keep on Move" mixed by James Murphy and Pat Mahoney on their absolutely fantastic Fabric Live 36, great song released last year without a huge promotion or rotation in music blogs and this is because people are not into research and to find gems like these you need to get your hands on it and also you must be willing to spend some cash. Recently, when i was doing some of this "exhaustive" research I ran into Babytalk again and guess what new single was released and I just bought it inmediately, the song is called "Chance" and the single includes remixes by Hercules and Love Affair and Babytalk themselves. I won't talk much about it so you can be the judge, but I just can say it's a high recommendation by theneonrider crew.

On the other hand we have Watussi, another great act with a really great vibe to listen to and to start partying. Their single was released this year also and it has been promoted by Tim Sweeney on some of his mixes, I think that makes it speak for itself. The gift that I'm going to leave you is called "If All We Had Was Love" and I suggest that if you want the other single from Watussi and the "Chance" remixes, you´ll have to go to Juno, Itunes or Stickydisc Recordings to get it, spend some cash and support these acts so they can keep giving us great stuff to listen to.

As a bonus, I'm giving you "Keep on Move" in case you missed it.

They're Vack!

The New Van She album "V" is out now, well not here in America but you can still get it on australian itunes and on jbh and mod store if you have Australian dollars.

Anyway we are lucky to have the album and listened to it and we like what we've heard. If you got the EP or the singles you have an idea how the album is going to sound, a very polish and mature sound, well balanced album. It reminds me of that time when electroclash was coming out of that undeground world, big in NY and the UK. If you have a chance go and get it, and play the whole thing non stop, we're sure you're going to like it. I'll leave you with the new re-edited version of "Kelly" that comes in the album (yes, again). Check their myspace and follow the links to get the album

Slow-burning pop

Well, this time were not bringing you something brand new but as always we feel is worth listening. These Brooklyn NY electronic-rock producers and performers record everything themselves and then adapt it live into their shows with crazy projections. It is a mixture of everything. It has rock electro and a touch 80's pop synthesizers and you can hear that they are obviously influenced by radiohead and NIN but who doesn't?

Originally discovered by the greatest record label in the world (Warp Records) , the label released Home Video's first two EPs in 2004. So you know what to expect when you listen to their music.

"Surrounded by the trend-infested-quick-high of the New York music scene, Home Video are slow-burning pop that will invade your dreams and memories "

A Metronomy on the fifth planet.

We introduce you to Jupiter a while ago, one of our favorites Neon Talents. The next artist doesn't need any introduction because it's Metronomy. But this post is all about Jupiter.

Is their first remix that we know of and It delivers. Gentle pounding electro that will make you dance, specially if you play it really loud. Thats it! Enjoy.

So here it is the Jupiterean version of Metronomy.
