We Got Time

Maybe it's too early to show you another video but I was blown away by the Moray McLaren video of "We Got Time".

It's all about the "back to basics", the techinque David Wilson masters it's so great and he takes it to another level. The blending of the music with the visuals, help the story telling really well and it seems the visuals take over the song but at the end its a perfect blend of art. I really love pre-cinema optical toys - kinetoscopes, zoetropes, magic lanterns, and the praxinoscopes (featured on the video).

Everything was made in camera, believe it or not. Please watch in on HD, and I'll leave the making of video too. (go to the youtube link beacuse is on wide screen and you might been missing the right side of the frame)

Visual Again

I haven't post any motion graphics in a while, but today I found something worth posting.

Masa Nakamura is a multidisciplinary designer and animator who doesn’t pigeon hole himself into a single approach to solving his creative problems. Whether it be traditional 2d graphics, stop motion puppetry or painting on glass, Masa is willing to explore any medium necessary to get his message across.

This piece was created by Masayoshi Nakamura and Magico Nakamura created for the Adobe Records video competition. Great way of combining different technics, to entertain and show something beautiful. Watch it on HD if you can.

And as a double gift I'm going to leave you with a great old tune from 1976 by the great Boney M. a track that will make you dream as an 8 mm film.

Ma Baker - Boney M.

Enjoy.
