Discough Syrup Mix

It's been a while since I posted something, and my apologies for that, there's simply no excuse. All this time I was doing extensive research on new artists, and I mean really good ones (they're so hard to find these days).

So for now Neon Readers, I'm going to leave you with a fresh new mixtape, within a classic, old, and also fresh Neon Selection, always keeping the Neon Rider quality.

Enjoy it! and I hope you like it, and dance your shoes off!!!

Woolfy

Long time no see, I know that and I'm sorry but I'm bringing you a lot of goodies from the neon stereo, some of them old and some new but all of them of great quality. We have talked about some of the artists from Rong Music Records, but know is time for Woolfy. D-Hastie and Simon "Woolfy" James met in 1999 in a bar in L.A., it all started with a beer and having something in common, making top of the line funky, dubbed disco, spaced out house and beared rock music.

These guys also have another project called Woolfy v.s. Projections which has a more melodic sound, a bit more calmed but still amazing, this other project had its release on Permanent Vacation Records and it has been on a heavy rotation among some of the best disco warriors out there such as James Murphy and Tim Sweeney.

Their last release Oh Missy is out now with a collaboration between Rong and DFA Records, is a really great track with exquisite guitar riffs and an amazing beat that just makes you want to dance. Again I'll let you be the judge on these tracks, please go to Juno, Emusic, Beatport or your favorite music store and get your hands on all of Woolfy's material, they have some incredible remixes. I'm only giving you some of the tracks because we want you to spend some bucks and support the artists as The Neon Rider does, remember gems are not for free.

Finally, the gifts:

Woolfy - The Warehouse (Lee Douglas Remix)

Woolfy - Odissey

Woolfy - Oh Missy (Extended Mix)

Woolfy vs Projections - The Return of Starlight (Original Mix)

Woolfy vs Projections - Absynth (Marcus Worgull Remix)

Enjoy!

Stereo MC's

Remember "connected" by the Stereo MCs (1992)? Last night I heard it on the street! I decided to checkout if those guys were still producing music.. and well, they recently released a new album titled "Double Bubble". Found a song that has the most incredible first 3 minutes, but the rest turns into something unexpected. The first 3 minutes are just great, pure piano house. It is something like hearing the sound of Ian Brown's voice combined with Hot Chip music. The other 3 minutes..... you will be the judge.
